Happy National Peach Month! One of my all time favorite fruits (aside from the Angelcot from Trader Joes, which is like fruit crack...) is the Summer peach! A bowl of freshly pick peaches that you can smell
across the room.
Our neighbor has a peach tree perfectly planted near
the edge of our backyard patio. During the Spring the buds of the tree give off
an almost almond like smell. When Summertime rolls around the
sunshine-filled peaches are ripe and delicious. She's kind enough to
share the peaches with us, provided the squirrels don't help themselves to all of them before they finish ripening. :)
Ripe & juicy, mixed into scrumptious cocktails,
baked into warm tarts or cut up into refreshing salads, they are
one of my favorite Summertime fruits.
